Redesign of an iconic Bangalore coffee shop that relocated from Max Muller Bhavan to Indiranagar 6th main came with several hidden challenges.

Using the canopy of the tree outdoor as focus points, the design revolved around integrating multiple utilities of spaces like the bar, family seating,  a lounge and a bakery. 

A long bar takes the center stage. Dropping from bar height to coffee bar height so the guests can see their coffee being brewed. Above the bar we have used glass board with a menu in stickering showing what is being served, to emphasize the casual ambiance of the cafe

A backdrop of brick tile cladding with wooden benches, decorative grillwork and soft linen furnishings gives the space an outdoor European feel. By using a combination of earthy bamboo designer lights and exposed wired lights, the cafe showed signs of informality in its behavior within a grid seating framework. The wine rack, bakery rack & bar becomes a backdrop in a modern chic environment.

A combination of high bar tables, table seating, outdoor patio furniture, lounge seating gives the flexibility of multitude users for the same space.
