NORTH POINT

North Point was an interior project located in a high-rise in the centre of an upcoming vibrant neighbourhood in Bangalore.

The design is inspired by a combination of Scandinavian minimalism juxtaposed with a warmth. This gives rise to a space that screams elegance and homeliness. The space opens from the main door to a small foyer housing a shoe cabinet disguised as a console with a mirror for last minute touch ups. This opens onto a living dining space which opened towards the balcony for the city views.

Living & dining rooms are designed to encourage social interactions, in the days of social media.

The project is positioned on one side of the plot to create a courtyard that serves as a transitional space between the porch and the garden. This courtyard functions not only as an area for outdoor activities like BBQs but also as a bridge connecting the living space to nature, fostering relaxation and harmony. The ground floor features interconnected communal spaces, all oriented towards the garden. Sliding glass doors are extensively used, and when fully opened, they erase the boundary between indoors and outdoors, offering seamless spatial continuity while maintaining the necessary privacy for the owner.

To offer an interpretation of our current era within the ongoing evolution of architecture, we have endeavored to blur the line between historical influences and embracing the post-modern period. Despite its captivating and imposing appearance, the arch type has given rise to a distinctive space that perfectly complements the prevailing atmosphere of this region, unrivaled in its spatial delight.
