MADAPUR ESTATE

Madapur House is an ancestral home nestled in a remote corner of Coorg, thoughtfully redesigned to blend urban living standards with its inherent rustic charm. Perched on a leveled hilltop, it offers stunning views of a flowing river from its northern and eastern sides, where the rising sun streams in through a continuous balcony—our absolute favorite feature!

Originally constructed in the 1950s, the house has undergone two renovations as the family expanded. We transformed its closed layout into an open plan, allowing it to breathe freely amid the expansive landscape it overlooks. The grand stone fireplace remains the heart of the home, with supporting spaces arranged to complement it harmoniously. Built using local stone and fallen trees from the estate itself, the design aesthetic seamlessly merges with the surrounding panoramic vistas. From soaring herringbone-patterned wooden ceilings and arched stone windows to a state-of-the-art open kitchen, the residence embodies modern comfort while preserving the cozy warmth of a country cottage.

Features like courtyards, lily ponds, sunroofs, and bay windows flood once-dim corners with natural light and ventilation. During holidays, when guests arrive, the house evolves into a vibrant retreat, overflowing with joy and cheer.
